SMS Messaging Program
Last updated: September 29, 2026
ReqGenius is an AI-assisted hiring platform. Employers use it to screen job candidates. This page explains the text messages (SMS) that ReqGenius sends on behalf of employers, how people opt in, and how to opt out.
Who sends the messages
Messages are sent by ReqGenius (a product of J. Allyn Works) on behalf of the employer whose job a candidate has applied to or been invited to. The message names the employer where it is relevant.
What we send
- Interview scheduling and reminders, including links to your private candidate page
- Requests to reschedule or a link to call back after a missed interview call
- Links to complete a step, such as an online assessment or a reference form
- Status updates about your application, including when a decision has been made
We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not sell or share phone numbers for marketing.
How you opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number in your ReqGenius candidate profile and ticking the consent box. The box is unchecked by default, you must tick it yourself, and your number cannot be saved without it. The form shows this notice next to the checkbox:
I agree to receive text messages from ReqGenius about my job applications, including interview scheduling, reminders and status updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of applying. See the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with where you are in the hiring process, and is usually a handful of messages per application. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
Opt out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one confirmation message and nothing more. You can also email support@reqgenius.com. Opting out of texts does not remove your application, and the employer may still contact you by other means.
Help
Reply HELP to any message, or email support@reqgenius.com.
Carriers and privacy
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. They are shared only with the service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
